Newer Class C's and many A's have a radio switch located near the driver's side dash area. This allows one to turn this switch on and have the dash radio work off the coach battery(s) without having the key in the ignition. Some even switch between chassis and coach battery automatically when the key is removed from the ign.

I want one.

So.....any schematics/detailed instructions, y'all can provide?

I currently have an 08 Meridian that has it. My 01 Suncruiser also had one. If you go to the Winnebago web site, you can download the 12v wiring layouts and schematics. It would be a fairly easy mod using a SPDT switch.

Good luck.

My 99 Brave has the switch, but it just by passes the ignition switch. I found this out the hard way using the radio while on shore power I ran down the chassis battery.

My '05 Journey has one but you have to have it on house batteries to get the surround sound to operate. I wired my C.B. into the same circuit so I can do the same thing with it. Makes it nice talking coach to coach when we are parked in a group.

Looks like I got the information I need at rv.net

If y'all are interested take a gander over there. Pretty easy job with a SPDT switch.
