I have an 03 Winnebago Minne 31C, I am ready to install my back up camera and had a couple of questions regarding mounting the camera it's self on the back of the RV. I am a little nervous about drilling a hole in the back of my MH. I guess what I am asking is do I just drill a hole all the way through the fiberglass into the MH, and then feed the cable through the hole? It looks like once I feed the cable through I will need to route it down to the floor then drill another hole in the floor and feed the cable through that also, then run it under the MH to the front and drill another hole in the fire wall?

Any last words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

John:

Have you checked with Winnebago to see if they ran a rear view cam cable from the factory? I bought a used '97 Adventurer several years ago and it had no BU monitor. However, Winne did put a cable there and all I had to do was locate it and use it.

Just a thought. Might save you some trouble.

Thanks smlranger, that would be ideal if they did? It's worth a phone call!

It would be worth a call to make sure.....but when I called about our previous '03 Minnie 31C inquiring about prewiring I was told it was not.

Maybe you will be lucky and yours will be. Make the call.

John, have you got an estimate for what it would cost to have it done professionally? I'm a do it yourself guy as well, but some things are best done by the pros. I'd hate to mess that project up, and it could be more expensive to fix if you do it wrong. Just my .02
