Instrument Panel lighting fuse blows

When I turn wheel that controls the instrument pannel lighting the 15 amp fuse blows. I have not been able to find a short in the wiring althought I did not dig too deep.

Could the problem be in the switch itself ?

It maybe can you pull switch off dash and take a look behind of wiring. May have a loose wire that shorts to ground as you turn knob or contact crossing to ground.

I blew that fuse a few times before finding out it was corrosion. Do your dash lights flash on and off while turning the knob? That's how mine acted.

What did you do to fix it?
The instrument lights flash on momentarily and then the fuse blows .
