I need to replace a large interior mirror that hs cracked. I would appreciate tips on how to remove it from the wall. It appears to be glued, not mounted with screws.

It is 28 X 36 inches.

Thanks in advance.

I removed the one in my bathroom to put a cabinet with shelves there for towel storage). There is no easy or fast way to do it without it comming off in pieces. That was a really good glue they used and even after getting the mirrow off I still was not able to remove the glue. When removing be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves. IT WAS NOT AN EASY JOB.

Check with your dealer. A friend of ours broke his mirror trying to remove it so he could mount something else in it's place and found out after it was broke that there was a couple little "T" shaped mounting screws behind the mirror that he could have turned 90 degrees with the right little wrench and that would have released the mirror. I think his mh is made by 4-Winds- it's a Windsport so their mirrors may be different from Winnebago's but it would be worth checking out. Good Luck!

We removed our mirror in the bedroom over the dresser/sink. Took a large plastic bag and tapped to the back splash area then taped the mirror. Put on heavy gloves and eye protection then attacked the mirror with a pry bar starting at the top working to the bottm prying the edges. The mirror did break but by doing it slowly all the glass stayed on the plastic. The mirror was attached to the wall with what looked like big globs of caulk so there the glass was still attached. We took a plastic spatula and just gently pryed. All came off with no damage to the wall at all.

I did read somewhere that someone took a long piece of wire and used it like a saw down the back of their mirror and softened the glue stuff using a hairdryer. They said the mirror came off in one piece.

We replaced our mirror with a medicene cabinet that has mirrored doors. Used some screws but also liquid nails and believe me it hasn't budged a bit.

Good luck
