We are having an ongoing problem with our windshield wipers. They stopped working during a thunderstorm in New Mexico this past October. They worked intermittently enough for us to get home to California. At one point they began to work and would not shut off. I had to remove the fuse to get them to stop. We took it to our dealer and of course they could not duplicate the problem. They made some adjustments and sent us on our way. I took the rig out yesterday in the rain and in 10 minutes the wipers quit again. Our dealer is no longer in business so Workhorse sent me to a repair facility near my home. Guess what! They can't duplicate the problem either. I called Workhorse again and they told me to tell the repair facility to call technical assistance at Workhorse because there is some control box that Workhorse installs that often gets exposed to the weather before Winnebago puts the body on the chassis, and this may be the problem. Has anybody had this experience before? It is getting very frustrating.

Thanks troth, there is some good info there. It looks like it could be the control arm or water entering the connectors. I will wait and see what the repair facility says.

Charlie,
After you called them and told them to call Workhorse, the repair facility called back and said it is the wiper motor that is the problem. The wiper motor is not a Workhorse problem. Now the ball is back in Winnebago's court.

Winnebago is going to replace the motor. We plan on doing some preventive maintenance as suggested in Troth's link. Are there any other solutions out there? What about a mask or a bra? Would those help or make it worse? Thanks.
