I have a 2000 Itasca Horizon that I bouth used. I am now sure that this couch came with out the 2500 watt inverter that was offered as an option. The folks at Winnebego were very helpful and did point out that I had a small 130 watt inverter located near the front TV. I have no idea if this is large enough to do anything for me or for that matter how to operate it. Any insite would be appreciated. If I did opt to install a larger inverter, what would I be looking at in spending to have it installed. I don't think this is a project I would want to take on.

Hi, I did the same thing, bought the MH with the small inverter. Then I bought an OEM 2000 watt inverter and installed it myself. The price of the inverter was +/- $1,500. I think Camping World wanted something like $350 to install.

What it buys is the ability to use everything except air conditioning while boondocked. That is until the batteries run down. Microwave takes about 1800 watts. Refer takes approx 375 watts. Coffee maker = 500 watts and toaster about 1,000 watts.

I would suggest a true sine wave inverter. Costs about $300-400 more.

Hope this helps.
