Well, thanks to the help of you folks, we can now join this forum...we bought a 2001 Itasca Sunflyer 35U yesterday. Like new with only 10,500 miles on it!
Question (I should say first question because there will be many since we've never had a class A) Anyone have a SWAG on what the MSRP was on an Itasca Sunflyer 35U when it was new in 2001? For some reason, the insurance co wants to know.
Thanks for the help other day and thanks in advance for help on this. Steve

I hate to mention the reference place because I thing they do us all a great injustic with their low ball prices, but you can go to the NADA site and lookup your coach.
For a better and much fairer price the Kelly Blue Book site is another one.
Now your fun has just begun.

Thanks! But, what the insurance wants is what the coach cost in 2001 new, not today's value. NADA only shows today, unless I missed something.
I had that winne site already and could not find it there either. Steve

We looked at a used 2001 Adventurer 35U and I saw the original window sticker. If I recall correctly the MSRP with options was about $103,000. So your Itasca Suncruiser 35U would have been a few thousand more. I'll guess ~$106,000.
Call Winnebago. They should be able to give you the MSRP on the coach. Have the VIN number. They also may be able to send you a copy of the original window sticker.
You got a very nice coach and a great floorplan.
Tom

Your big black bag should have come with the sticker sheet, but that doesn't mean its still in there.

I have found the NADA site prices to be on the high side. I thought that was the general consensus.
Where are the RV values on the Kelley Blue Book website???

Mine is an 01 Winn Adv 35U, basically same as yours. Base MSRP was about 101K. My options brought it to 109K. But agree that calling Winn with VIN is probably best best.

Thanks all. The dealer found the info. Amazing: the MSRP for the Sunflyer was 119,938 + about 8K in options. Apparently this is why there aren't that many Sunflyer's: they were high compared to Suncruisers etc.
Now, what do you recommend I do until Fri AM when we get to go touch it and drive it home Spent today emptying the TT...amazing the stuff that got in there after only 1 year!!! But now that we have a MH, there will be plenty of room.....right
Stand by for a lot of questions! Steve

Steve:
Congrats on your new rig. You will enjoy it. If you can, I would suggest you stay in the Sunflyer overnight at the dealer's before you take it home or on your first shake-down trip. That will give you a chance to check out all the systems. We did that and found a couple of items that the dealer fixed the next AM. Now, our selling dealer was a long way from home. If your's is really close to home, you may not feel the need to do that.

We are looking at a 2001 Itasco 35U. It seems priced high at $67K, 12K miles.
Can you tell us what $ you paid?

Believe it or not, that's what we paid. It is VERY clean with a lot of extras. We're very happy with the price.

Don't know why the Insurance Company needs the new msrp but remember it sells anywhere from 75/80% of that number. For Insurance they may need the high number.
The number you use may or may not make a difference in titeling, liscensing or taxes where you live...Congratulations and many safe miles...

My insurance company, State Farm, wanted same info. on my used Journey...kept asking what it sold for new. I asked my agent why they needed that since, in case of a total loss, they would only pay book value at time of loss. He could not answer my question other than to say their underwriters always wanted new MSRP on motorhomes and boats.

I turned a 2001 Adventurer 35U down in Aug of 2004 for $60,000. It was 10 miles from my home and had 17k miles, still had the factory plastic on the carpeting. It was owned my a bachelor who ate out all the time. The stove and micro were never used. The fellow died and his sister inherited the coach.
The Itasca 35U is a little more expensive but I would try to stay under $60,000. I would make a $52k offer.
