Itasca Ellipse Bed Extension

Has anyone figured out a workaround to extend the bed when the bedroom slide is in? There is plenty of room to extend the bed if the full wall slide is out. But as delivered from the factory, the bed cannot be extended until the bedroom slide is out. There must be a way to bypass this feature.

There are 2 safety switches under the bed that need to be jumped. On the Journey 42e they were up under the head of the bed.

Be careful, in my model, 42E or the Tour/Ellipse 42QD you must put out the bedroom slide before using the bed. If you extend the bed without the bedroom slide being extended, there is no support at the foot of the bed.

So if in a one slide scenario, it must be the bedroom slide.

Thanks, I'll look for those switches.
