I recently measured the height of the 10k hitch for a new vehicle that I intend to tow flat. The coach was fully aired up with over 120psi on the guages. The height was 15". After I drove the coach home I noticed the hitch appeard to be higher than before and indeed it was. It now was 17" off the ground. Is this a normal occurance? I was wondering if I had a underlying problem with the coach air bag system or what. This is important as I will have to correct the hitch height to meet the 17.5" height of the new Chev. pickup. I was advised that the 15" would require a 4" drop installed upside down. Now.... will 4" be too much for the 17" measurement? Thanks for your help. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
You may not have been on ground that was as level as you thought when you took one of the measurements. Airs bags will not raise to their full height at times until after you move the coach and have gone over a few bumps. Take a few measurements after moving the coach a few times and go with the average.
