Does someone know when you change the diesel fuel filter on an Itasca Reyo 2009, does the fuel filter need to be primed

Most manufacturers recommend an annual fuel filter change when you do the oil change.

I always prime the fuel filter when changing because it can save on starting problems. With a fuel filter you can prime with trans flluid if you dont have any diesel around. Trust me it works !!

Recommendation is every 10,000 miles. As far as priming once you install the filter and have everything connected just turn on the ignition key for 20 seconds or so. You will hear the fuel pump priming the filter...do that a few times just to make sure and you should be set.

I would fill the filter with fresh diesel. Pour the diesel in the small holes on the outer side of the filter. This way it will be filtered before entering the injectors.
