Itasca Sunstar 31KE Mattress 2014

Well the OEM Foam mattress and I are not getting along. Foam and I have never gotten along well- I know many people have good relationships with foam mattresses but I ain't one of them.

So the DW and I are ordering a Eurotop innerspring like we used to have in our old TT we had about 2 RV's ago. Loved it. Had good relations with that mattress.

Minor issue (I hope). Obviously the unit is sized for a queen short (74 inch). The bed platform is designed and sized for a radius end mattress as opposed to the regular rectangle. I have had some challenges finding a reasonably priced innerspring with eurotop but have finally located one we like. But its not available with the rounded style radius ends (you know the end where my toes stick out).

As one enters the BR and moves to the right (drivers side), the 31 KE has an angular diagonal wall, and clearly the designers used the the radius mattress design to allow for easier passage to the drivers side aisle of the BR and bed.

Has anyone had any experience using and replacing with a standard end mattress as opposed to a radius mattress end on a late model 31KE? Can you still tolerate moving around it or is it miserable?

Hope you can help. I desperately need to feel some wire poking in my back for a good nights sleep.
