We just took our maiden voyage in our new Navion, and cannot figure out where we're supposed to store the sewage hose after use. The factory told us it's supposed to go in the same compartment as the fresh water intake, which does not set well with us at all. Our Coachman has a totally separate, enclosed space just for the hose. Suggestions?

Also, I swore after making the bed above the cab and the bed in the three-wall enclosed back beb that I would never make them again. What do other owners do? Sleeping bags? Fold a king-sized comforter in half and sew it (along with a sheet and a blanket) across the bottom? I have wracked my brain, and would appreciate any suggestions

We do use sheets and a quilt. When we change the sheets, my husband goes outside, lifts the door on the storage compartment and makes that side of the bed while I make the interior side. We fixed the mattress too. We went to an upholstery shop and had a one piece thick foam mattress made. It's heavier to lift, but we don't use the storage for everyday items. Because the wall was cold to touch when sleeping, I made a double layer of fleece material and put snaps on the wall. My husband says it is much more comfortable.

We use the storage outside that was meant as an ice chest to hold the sewer hose, rubber gloves, cleaning supplies for the sewer. My husband put the hose inside a thick garbage bag, replacing it as needed.

Hope these suggestions prove useful.
