Decisions Decisions Decisions.

almost had our mind made up, when we looked at the 36G. I know this is the SE with limited options, and all the ones across the country have the same MSRP around $166K. Nice unit and floorplan and I think the 300 Cummings is ok. Especially when the dealer will it at incoice at $121K. was even considering a high end gas model till i saw this one. toomany choices

any comments on this model or engine.....

We have a 2006 Journey 36 SE and absolutely love it. The cummins 300 is great power. Of course a 400hp would be nice, but we really never missed the extra HP. It surely isnt under-powered.

We traded a practically new gas machine for this one. Many reasons beyond the engine - mostly the air suspension was our biggest reason.

Little problems? YES! Just like any other motorhome. But we talk to other Journey owners frequently that also love their machines. I have yet to hear anything bad, and even if you do, take it with a grain of salt. There are bad experiences with EVERY make and model. Good luck!

P.S. We bought ours with 9k miles - very lightly used and paid just under $130k. I think the 160's is a good number for a new one!

The 160's is close to list price. You should be able to get it for 120's to 130's depending on the extras you get the dealer to through in.

Once you own a diesel, you'll never go back. The Cummins 300hp is very adequate. And it gets better mileage (1-2mpg) than the CAT C7. On the strait and level you will travel with the best of them. Only on the hills will you slow down, but who cares? You'll get there with the rest of the pack, maybe just behind them.

Go for it! I had both gas and diesel, and diesel is the way to go.

More horespower is nice, but you pay the price. You are looking at a good deal. You'll pay another $20K for an '08 with the bigger engine.

Pusherman is right on. I just purchased a 2006 with 5000 miles and think it is a great coach. A very good value in my opinion.
