Journey clearance lights-- glued in?

Does anyone know how the clearance lights inside the little pockets on the front and rear caps are installed?
Are they glued with sealer then screwed?
I have removed the cover on one and the screw heads were covered in sealant.

Mine is at the dealer chasing down a leak and the dealer said they could not remove the light with out breaking the base since it is basically glued in with sealant.

I'm about ready to buy sealed LED replacements and seal them in.
Thanks,
Ed

I don't think they are sealed in originally. I had the factory work on a leak in my windshield area. They said it was the clearance lights and their fix was to seal them in with silicon.

I doubt very much that their glued in place. The sealant on the backing was probably put on at the factory unless there was a leak at one time and someone else put it on. The sealed LED's sound like a good idea. Good luck and I hope you get the situation under control.

I lost one on one of my first trips in the coach. I picked up a replacement at a RV shop ($2.70 Texas tax included) and it snapped in. I checked all of the marker lights while I had the ladder out and three of them were loose. I snapped them in and I have not had any other issues.
