I have a 2009 Journey 34Y.
Living room 37 inch LCD needs to be replaced under warranty. It is a simple mount above the side buffet between two windows on the drivers side. Modification of the mounting bracket may be necessary when they replace the Sharp TV due to variations in models/manufacturing (so I've been told).

Question: I have a choice of going to either La Mesa RV or Altman's Winnebago. Any experience with either and/or recommendations? I am a full-timer so will wait for the repairs and will set up an appointment before hand. One is 100 miles away, while the other is 200 miles away. I will drive to either depending on reputation.

Thanks
stik

Check out R.V.Service Reviews, many shops are rated and you might find what you are looking for. I for one have found the most shops sorely lacking in quality service.

Stik, I have no experience with Altman's, but I bought my Vectra 40AD from La Mesa and frankly wouldn't go back for service. Took a long time to get minor issues sorted out when we bought it, although it was in 2006 when sales were highest. You also might contact Giant RV in Murietta, CA, right on the 15.

A better bet would be to call Joe Curland at Temecula Valley RV Services (951-894-2347) and arrange for them to do the service. They have a couple of spots for full timers to park in with elec and sewer, a full shop with about 8 bays and do nothing besides service RV's and sell accessories. We are having our coach recarpeted there in Dec. They are located where the 15 and 215 meet in Temecula / Murietta, CA.

Good luck.

I recently purchased a new rig from LaMesa and would avoid going there for service. My rig needed lots of fixes and sat for weeks waiting on parts. When they finally came in the work was done in a timely manner but several items were not fixed correctly. The service writer did his best but the GM is a jerk.
