I need a replacement keypad for a 151 series keyless entry system on my Itasca Horizon. Winnie says no gotta, but will sell me a complete replacement unit (176 series) for $550+ . Any ideas?

Unfortunately, I think the company that made the original system went out of business.

I was wondering if:

1. Someone might know of a dealer that still had some in stock,

Or,

2. If anyone had replaced their entire system with the replacement unit? I'm curious if it's plug and play, keypad dimensions are the same etc. its a lot of money to spend only to find out the installation is a science project!

I have been told the same thing. To my knowledge there are no more parts for this system available. The company was SCS Frigette if I remember correctly. A call to Lichtsinn Motors RV Parts may get answers to your questions. Lonnie and David are very knowledgeable on this issue.

Their phone number is 1-800-343-6255. Good luck with your problem;

Don

If you're going to science project it you might consider refitting it with a keyless system from an early 90's Ford. They have a stand alone module. Easy to pick up parts at a junkyard. Just have to match up the wiring.

I'm considering adding a power lock to my door (yes, it will be a lot of work) and using Ford parts to add a keypad.

Google will find you examples of adding the system to everything from Volvos to Dodge trucks.

I traced the current manufacturer to a company named Tri-Mark. I've sent them an email about replacing the existing system and will report back here once they let me know just how difficult it would be. Thanks for all the help, folks! Now it's off to FL with the new coach!
