I was having our Cummins engine serviced (recall on air compressor hose) which required that the service tech had to open the hatch in the bedroom. Unfortunately, he could not find the screws that hold down the bedroom floor. I also looked and found a couple, but they were buried in the carpet and almost impossible to find . I called Winnie Tech Support and talked to a very knowledgeable guy who was kind enough to fax out a picture of the floor with arrows showing where the screws should be (apparently, this picture is now included in the coach Owner's Manual, but not in mine). Sure enough, we could now find the screws and had no more problems.

I really appreciated the fast response by Winnebago while my coach was sitting in the shop bay -- saved me potential excess charges for the tech to explore and find the screws.

By the way -- I put washers on the screws so that they are easier to find in the future (they are still covered by the carpet, but much easier to find).

Rick;

Thanks for the report. It is always nice to hear positive reports. I have also always found them to be very helpful.

Don

Winnebago Industries has always been in the business of providing information in a timely manner to their owners. This is remarkable especially when we have been reading posts from many members that documentation is not available on their brand of motorhome.

Winnebago has an extensive library dating back to 1996 on their website and anyone can use that resource if they know the year and model number of their motorhome.
