Kwikee Step Light Replacement help needed

Hi Folks,

Anybody have any hints on how to remove the orange step light lens under my Kwikee steps so that I can replace the bulb? The orange lens rotates freely but doesn't seem to unscrew. Does it just get popped/pried off?

I used a small screwdriver to help pop the lens off. The bulb is a 194LL.

Thanks! That matches the info I found with further digging...

Hey Chris,
Just for info, I canned the little orange light and replace it with a couple of LED units. Much brighter and a whole lot less juice to run, not that it matters that much. I picked up the LEDs at a local auto parts store, a few bucks a piece. They're easy to wire up and install, just tie them into the same wire the Orange light was tied to. Or, just replace the bulb as you're thinking of.
