First of all, thanks all of you guys for the replies and suggestions back on my Kwikee Step situation.
After a little investigation found the step alarm fuse blown. If this fuse is blown steps will not automatically come up when ignition is turned on, as they are supposed to do no matter what position the step switch is in, (on or off ).
Checked all connections and wires and could not find anything that looked suspicious.
After about 4 hrs. of bending and hamering, cable tuggers and ropes, and lots of rigging, (some cussing), have steps very close to normal, and working properly.
I will be visually checking steps up before moving from now on.

Thanks again, and have good day.

Frank & Marilyn

not familar with the step alarm. when does it alarm you? do you keep your steps lubricated? maybe they were binding enough to blow a fuse.

the product name slips me now, but look on line for a spray lube. it comes in a can just like we40 with a tube. the lube is in aerosol from, but after you spray it on, it then thickens into a nice lite lube. i use it on my steps frequently. it will not gum up like wd40. i use it lightly on my slides and it is working well. it's a little pricey, but worth it and it lasts a long time.

Same here, where is the alarm and also where is the fuse located? I wasn't even aware there was a fuse on the step anyplace.

Believe me, lubrication was not the problem with the steps. We were running in the rain that day and it's the only thing I can think may have had something to do with the fuse blowing.
This is a 5 amp fuse called a step alarm fuse that also operates the steps when you turn on the igniton. On my 2004 35U Adventurer it's under the dash in the upper right hand portion of the fuse block.
I checked all of the conections and grounds. made sure they were clean and tight. All look good. working perfect now. We'll see, but I will be visually checking things, before moving.

Thanks again for your replies

That fuse also kills the jacks down alarm in my 04 adventurer. Another thing to be aware of.

That may be why it's called the "step alarm fuse"--it's for the "steps" and the jack "alarm".
