Hey All,

Took our new MH out on it's first trip.

Seems where I connect the sewer hose I get leakage and it just doesn't fit snug?

It fits fine on another friends though as well as fine on my last rig.

Can I get an extra thick gasket somewhere?

Ideas?

We had that problem. I kept a black bucket under the connection (still keep it there even though it no longer leaks... just for drips that may occur while removing the hose). We ended up getting the red coloured fittings for our sewer hose. The fitting have hooks for 4 of the pins instead of just 2. Also the gasket seems thicker. With old fittings (black 2 prong) I added 2 new gaskets (stacked on top of each other) and it still leaked. Also you need to make sure the fitting is seated correctly on the sewer discharge pipe before locking it down. Personally, I think the current design is poor and could be improved.

use a paper towel to clean the gasket and other connection before you make the connection.

Well I took a close look and was pretty disappointed in what I saw.

When the final four pin end was glued on, excess glues ran down towards the end cap and ate almost all the way through the lip.

I bought a new one, sawed off the old connector and replaced it.

Seals perfect now.

Stinks to have to do that on a new motorhome, but the $3 fitting and 20 minutes of my time beats a $20 gas trip and days at the dealer for a warranty claim.

The RED connectors worked best for us too.
