LED lights causing radio interference

Winnebago Minnie Winnie - 2014 bought new and the factory LEDs throughout the coach were standard on this model the 31KP. I have had it a few years and noticed sometimes our weather radio was hard to receive but never put it together until now. I don't know if i can upload a recording on here?

With NO Led lights turned on I am sitting here listening to NOAA Weather Radio very much in the clear. I turn ONE led light on and it wipes out the weather radio signal completely!! I tried several of the lights on and off and some worse than the others but ALL cause terrible noise on the weather radio channels and they are in good range of the station and clear with them off!!

On another forum I was told it is using cheap NON FCC APPROVED bulbs. Is there true? Anyone else experiencing this with the LEDs the factory used?

Any chance of finding out the bulb model number and if it is FCC approved or not? If it is NOT I would think Winnebago should pony up to the table - but been there before on other issues!

Having a good weather radio signal when RVing in campgrounds if very good. I will try and track down the ones I have and see if there is an FCC page to look for approvals, etc.

Ideas appreciated.

Certain LEDs can and do interfere with RF. I've spent my life in the garage door industry, people started replacing their light bulbs in their door openers with LEDs and then we started getting complaints that the remotes didn't work. Found out the LEDs were the issue. There are newer LEDs out that do not interfere, I suspect you may have a similar problem. Try seeing if it is one particular light that is causing the issue. Replace it with a 'approved' light.

In my 2016 Forza, the inverter is the main culprit....

The reverse is more likely. Cheap LEDs rarely put out RFI. Instead, it is the more expensive ones with the built-in voltage regulation chips that commonly cause interference with radio and TV.
