Just a reminder that us Winnie owners have a treasure in Lichtsinn Motors in Forest River. Once again I needed a part. Emailed David describing a plate that has 2 studs that hold the driver side wiper since 1 stud had broke. About an hour later, he sent me the diagram for that section to confirm what I needed. Yep. Gave him a credit card and the plate is on its way. Can't get easier than that. He always finds the most obscure parts.

Hi Ho: I think we WI owners should be thankful for Lichtsinn. I was helping a friend with an Allegro Bus and he has yet to find a place that has almost everything and is as knowledgeable as they are. Maybe it doesn't exist?

I have used Lichtsinn on a couple of occasions and had similar experiences with their excellent service.

I think as Winnebago owners we have a significant tangible benefit missing from almost all other manufacturers and that is their on line Parts Catlogs, Plumbing, Electrical and Paint information as well as the ability to print a serial number specific parts listing for every coach they make or made. Almost all these are in PDF format and you can blow them up on your computer to get a real close up of the parts you might be looking for.

Ready access to this information makes a lot of DIY jobs around the coach much easier for those of us that do it. Ask owners of SOB coaches if they have this sort of support from their manufacturer!!

Lichtsinn has helped us on a couple occasions. The fact that they are only a few blocks from the factory certainly helps. If they don't have a part in stock they can usually get it within a few minutes rather than the few days it takes most dealers.

For the record they are located in Forest City IA not Forest River.
