Lighted Water Heater Switch

Does anyone know how to remove the lighted water heater switch that turns the electric heating element on and off. The light is out and I want to replace it. On my unit that switch is next to the LP switch.

There are quite a few threads on this. One recent one where I posted the part numbers, etc., when we changed ours out is this one:

In that thread, as you'll see, there are two different ways to approach changing that switch out.

I installed one of these Green LED 12V Pilot Indicator Dash Light | eBay
just below the switch to show when the switch is on. The switch is 12 volts.

Thanks for the info. Another example of iRV2's excellent value.

Ralph A ... In the 2nd post in this thread, follow the link under 'Water Heater Switch'. In it many moons ago I described my fix so the light in the original switch no longer burns out. Fix involves inserting a diode in the lamp circuit.
