living room slide goes out crooked

when i put out my living room slide one side of the slide goes out first. The same thing happens when I retract them....any suggestions? Is this a quick adjustment?

Wholly molly, that doesn't sound too good. Hope you get it fixed fast. It sounds like it might jump the track and lock up.

i should have explained a little better...one side is about 1-2 seconds quicker then the other...but it is noticeable...they both move but one side meets the wall first..

You are right Peter, it should go out evenly. It also should be a simple adjustment. It may be dragging on one side when it is activated, which would indicate that maybe that side is too low or too high.

I have never needed to adjust one though, but I believe that there is instructions in the owners manual on the proceedure. Try leveling your rig then open the slide about 6" at a time, then measure the height of each side of the slide from the ground as moves out. It should be pretty close to the same on each side. If not then an adjustment may be in order.

Peter, is there a chance air in the line is causing it to go in uneven. Why don't you use the emergency push-in procedure on pg. 10-6 (Assuming we have the same book) and then purge any air from the system, refill than try again.

The book really doesn't address this issue.

There was an adjustment on my 03 Horizon. It was a long threaded rod on each end. You could screw one or the other in or out until the slide was even. One arm is going out or in faster than the other..If your instruction manual doesn't help call Winnie. I had to remove a pin before you could rotate the rods.
This may be an adjustment for the dealer but it should be very simple..Good Luck

The way I read it is that if one side gets too far ahead of the other, it should stop and wait for the other side to catch up. BUT how far is too far? The Shadow knows. (Those of you who remember Watching the RADIO on Saturday nights know what I mean by that.

thanks for the help everyone...it is hwh hyd...i called them today and they said take it in for warranty but I am more interested in learning about the rods so I can make sure the dealer does the repair correctly.
