Can anyone tell me where the boost relay / contactor is on an Itasca 2005 40KD ?

I cannot start the coach and the boost switch seems to have no effect!

Thanks

Roy

Look in the electrical compartment. On mine it's behind a vinyl panel where the BIRD is located. Sorry I can't be more help.

It's in the metal enclosure above your inverter/charger. See the 3rd page (Sheet 2) of the Chassis Wiring Installation diagram for your coach.

Here's a (long) thread complete with pictures and descriptions on the problem and fix(es): Yet another solenoid bits the dust! If you determine it's bad I would recommend replacing yours with the one with silver contacts and possibly adding in some diodes or resistors as described in the thread.

As a temporary fix ... use a battery jumper cable between your house and coach batteries ... on my rig I only need to connect RED to RED ... the BLACKS are already connected to a common ground ...
