I want a good reliable maintenance facility in the Los Angeles or surrounding area.
I just returned from a Freightliner maintenace shop in Carson, and was quoted $350.00 for lube, oil, filters, water separater filter and chassis check. About $325.00 for the Allison fluid and filter. Non-transynd. Is this about right?

RCTime,

That's about right. I had mine done at a local truck shop. All you said for engine, no tranny work. Also extended the slobber tube and changed the oil and filter in the gen set, cleaned spark arrestor, did the annual inspection, lubed chassis and it was $495.

But you gotta remember, I'm in ther sticks in VA and you're in the big city.

I've had the oil changed at a Cat dealer in Roanoke, plus lube and it was about $350 so I'd say they're right in the ball park.

I can recommend LAfreightliner in Whittier.
They are a full service Freightliner dealer and
repair shop for Cummins and Allison. I just had my alternator replaced and I can say they are fast, fair and friendly.
They gave me a quote of $350.00 to service my Allison tranny using Transynd synthetic. I will definitely go back again.
