Just returned home from trip. While away, noticed that a piece of crown molding over driver's slide was missing. Could not find it anywhere. Checked top of slide in the closed position and nothing. Opened the slide and found it outside on top of slide. It had traveled out and under the gasket with the slide. It was a little difficult getting it down but was able to push it to one end of the long slide with a telescoping flag pole. It was mangled up and dealer had to order a new one and was installed today.

My reason for this post is to let others know to check the moldings, especially the crown moldings to ensure they are secure. All the crown molding in my rig had to be removed and reinstalled as they were all loose. The moldings were originally attached using half inch wire brads.

Yes, the people they hire are not always very good. It's a shame, but "craftsman" and "laborer" have nothing to do with each other. The factories just hire cheap labor nowadays.

I picked up a tube of silicone & masking tape shortly after picking up my Ellipse.
I've re installed at least 10 separate pieces on wood trim that were shot onto the substrate with very short brads.
