Loose trim moldung

99 chieftain.
I have to typically tighten the screws (Black philips heads) every couple of months. They do tighten back and I will eventually use locktite (if it goes into metal). My question is what functionality does this strip offer and am I correct to assume it is for trim molding. Nothing seems loose except the screws and the aluminum strip. Someone told me a while back these were only primary use to hold a certain item in place and then after the items were installed they become a secondary support.

I used loctite on both those, and the gas spring brackets that attach to the doors that continually were coming loose. Can't tell you what they actually hold in place...

well my wall moved away from the floor

My guess is that the previous owner had taken apart this strip. It seems one side is fine the other needs constant re-trightening...

Well out here on base I noticed that the wall had separated from the floor , about 1/2 inch. Got fed up and decided to get some new box end #10 3/4 broad thread self tapping screws and replace the existing philips heads screws. Figured some blue lok-tite and some more torque might help.
Finally got the floor and the walls snug together.

If it starts to walk again, I think I will go ahead and drill a few holes (every three feet) all the way through the square hollow beam and put some bolts through and nuts, so that way it can keep tension on the aluminum rail.
