Hi all;
I have a nagging problem with the air system. I'm losing air pressure very quickly on the coach. This only happens when the coach is parked. Everything seems normal when we are driving, pressure stays up, brakes ok etc. but as soon as the coach is parked, the pressure is down to zero in a matter of a couple hours or so. This happens weather someones in the coach or not. The funny thing is, that I can't hear a leak. I had it checked at our local freightliner dealer and all I got was, "we checked it, and couldn't find anything". They stated that it was in the guidlines for not losing 2 pounds a minuet or whatever it's supposed to be. The other thing they gave me was a big bill for checking it out, and not finding anything. I checked with Freightliner at the Perry Rally, and they asked how the shop checked the system. I told them I didn't know, but since they were a freightliner dealer, I assumed that they knew what they were doing. My 1st mistake. The techs stated that the system should be checked with a soapy solution for leaks. They aggred that something does appear to be wrong, but if it's within the spec's, don't really worry about it. I think I'll try to get under it myself and look around. Anybody have a simular problem, or any suggestions?

Had the same issue, and could not hear any leak, until we got the coach in a very quiet place.
Turned out to be a small pinch hole in an airbag. The compressor is powererful enough to overcome a pretty large leak with no problem.

Hi Walt:
I got frustrated, and just got up under the coach and listened. I also picked a quiet spot to hear. I started checking the air bags, when I finally heard a leak up front at one of the fittings. It's coming from a box mounted under the area where the drivers seat is. The box has several air lines, coming from it. Unable to tell exactly what line it is though. Will have to get some soapy water, and spray to locate the leak. At least I have an area to start looking. I'm glad at least for now that it's not an air bag. Freightliner say's it's probably just a fitting, and tightening it may or may not help. May have to get a new fitting, but that's better than an air bag. Thanks for the response. Steve

.....I got a 3 gallon weed sprayer and 2.5 gallons of soapy water.....I can cover more area quicker with this....leak detection is a PIA but the more soapywater you flood on the faster you can find the leak......spray it off with clean water let it dry and replace or tighten as needed....geofkaye
