I have a new 2011 Itasca Meridian/Winne Journey. City water pressure is very weak. Water pump pressure is fine. Have tried using a different water pressure regulator. No improvement. Coach is now 4 months old. Even when it was brand new city water pressure was weak. Now it is getting weaker. Others in this campground tell me to stop using a water pressure regulator, but my owners manual tells me to use a 40-50 lb reg. Should I replace the all-house water filter after 4 months of full-timing?

Have you even considered checking the water pressure where the hose is connected?
If it's under 60psi you don't need the regulator with its built in restriction.
I always check the pressure before I connect. Over the years I have seen pressures anywhere from 20psi to over 100psi.

I sure wouldn't think it was a filter clogged on such a new coach but you can always try removing the element to see if it fixes the problem.
I always use a pressure regulator since CG's are susceptible to pressure spikes in the middle of the night. I use a Watts residential pressure regulator with gauges on both input and output. Those $10 "regulators" are more restrictors than regulators.
I believe there is a check valve on your city water intake. It's not unheard of for these to be improperly installed or defective. Have you taken it back to your dealer to look at?
Good luck...

Check the water filter if you have one, could be clogged or time to change it. That makes a big difference in the water pressure if the filter is clogged.

Remove the filter from the housing and then screw the housing back on. Try the water pressure and see what you have. You may have a clogged filter or they may have the wrong filter in the housing.

Depending on your setup it could be as simple as a plugged screen in the hose. The suggestion of using a pressure gauge is a good one the Miljoco P2008U08HB Pressure Gauge, Water Test, 0 to 300 PSI with pointer monitoring surge goes for about $10.

Just for testing only, you can remove the external pressure regulator and see if the problem goes away.

I install my regulator right before the city water hookup so I can read the pressure. It is set at 60 pounds so I can read anything up to that. I have seen pressures as low as 20 pounds on the gauge and we stayed in a RV Park in Canada that said the water pressure was 150 pounds. I built it myself out of parts purchased at Home Depot.
