All my jacks were real slow in comming up then I found my hydraulic fluid is 2 qts. low. In searching I think I found the leak, but with being that low am I supposed to bleed the system or just replace the fluid.

Thanks
Ben!

Just top off the fluid. -But make sure the jacks are up (stored) and the slide outs are in (stored). Then check the level and add fluid as needed. The system self-bleeds any air in the lines or cylinders.
-Where's your leak?

By brand new 2007 Suncruiser came with the breather cap/dipstick scross threaded. I could not screw it back in and fully seat it to check my fluid level. The cap is plastic and the reservoir is metal. I wish the cap was metal too so the hardness was more equal between the two. Anyway, my rear jacks are slow to retract too and I wanted to see if it was a fluid issue or not. The motorhome is back at the dealer fixing the first 13 items that I have issues with.

Ben & Doug - Keep in mind that jack retraction is done by springs, not hydralic pressure. So the fluid level shouldn't matter - in fact the retraction just dumps fluid back in the reservoir. The jacks retract much slower in cold weather which may be your only problem at this time of the year.

There have been several good discussions of this in the past. Use the "Find" button at the top of the page and search for "jack retraction". Good luck...

Wow, I always avoided the lubrication of the jacks because of the advise from HWH, but just a quick squirt of WD40 and a whip down and the BAM! work like new retracting all 4 in 3 minutes or less. I found a loose hose connection that is where the leak was.
Thanks for the advise. I would think for long periods of time when the jacks are down it would be good to reapply the WD then wipe down before retracting to avoid the dirt issue! JMHO!

Happy Holidays!
