I've probably overlooked this subject in my stack of owner's manuals, but I can't seem to find a reference to a 'low-point' water system drain that I've had on previous RVs.

John,

On my '04 Vectra there are two drain points. One is a valve located on the output hose next to the water pump, which is supposed to drain the water lines and is the 'low point' for my system. It has a 2-foot hose attached to allow draining out of the bay.

The other is a master water tank drain that is located in a passenger-side bay about mid-way down the coach.

Yours being 4 years younger may be plumbed differently, but I hope this helps.

Ed

Thanks Ed -- looking in all the wrong places. In the LP compartment, two drain valves sticking out like a 'sore thumb'. I attribute all these brain f**ts to old age!

Naw, just business as usual with these beasts.

My master water tank drain is a t-handle. Located in the passenger middle bay where my little fridge/freezer is on a roll-out drawer. Handle is way up at the top, hidden by top lip of the bay cutout unless you get down on your knees.

Want to guess how long it took me to find it?

I am about to look at a 2008 Vectra TD . Are you Vectra owners happy with your coaches? Any problems? I am not familiar with the Winnebago MH but have heard very good things about them. Any info appreciated.

Linda

Welcome Linda -- you would get more responses if you started a new topic asking for feedback on Vectra Models. Many folks will see the subject of this thread and pass if they are not interested.

That said, we've had our new 2008 Vectra for approximately 3 months and are very pleased with the overall quality of the coach. We are aware of two issues that you are likely to encounter, across the Winnebago model lineup: Electronic door lock system has been a problem for many owner's and is more of a vendor issue than Winnebago. Vendor has since gone out of business and another firm has taken over -- my understanding in that they will be manufacturing a replacement assembly for the defective units. Read the thread about "Slide-Out Lock Leaks".
