LP Detector alarm went off last nite. No hair spray, etc, and good breeze outside (i.e., no stagnant outside air; about 50 deg F). Verified that there was no LP leak. I muted it, but alarm went off again in a few minutes. Unplugged it & went back to bed.
Called CCI Controls today (800-521-5228) w/model nr (7770.284). They said it's probably over-sensitive. I know the feeling. Also said 2 yr warranty; recommend replacement every 3 yrs. Since it's only 17 days out of warranty, CCI will replace it on their nickle. My kind of folks. Otherwise, $80 plus 6.50 S&H. For grins I plugged it back in today after blowing into the openings to clear any foreign matter. If alarm comes back on before tomorrow, I'll update this post. Either way, it's going UPS to CCI tomorrow.

Seriously now. If anybody passes any gas in my bedroom the Lp detector goes off. That is a little sensitive, or maybe not. Hmmm?

Hair Dryer... Take a hair dryer and aim it at the unit for FIVE minutes. If the unit collects too much of what ever it collects over time you can burn some of it off by using the dryer. The units seem to get more sensitive over time too.
