The Tank gage indicates 3/4 full, but I last bought LP gas in Feb 2011, so I used the LP Furnace some in Feb & Mar. Also use LP for stovetop regularly. Methinks it's actually less than 3/4. The OnePlace indicators show four lites (full) when button is pressed, and the lights show very dimly ALL the time (without button pressed). Spent nearly three hours on phn w/engineer from Ventline doing all sorts of trouble shooting---to no avail. Pounded (somewhat gently) with rubber mallot, in the gage area, but did not help.

Last time the LP was fueled (Feb 2011), the OPD malfunctioned & the tank was 100% filled. Did not bleed it to 80% since I was going to use the furnace. Could the over-fill have messed up the level mechanisms?

Tank is made by Manchester, & fills to 23 Gal @ 80% (normally).

Question: Any remedy, other than R&Ring the gage & OPD valve, at a qualified dealer? All the LP dealers say the indicator strips that adhere to the side of the tank are worthless. I hesitate to fill the LP tank with a possible bad gage and OPD valve.

You should have a gauge on your tank. I don't go by the board, but look at the gauge on my tank. It shows that I have about 65% full and it was filled in March and we have only spent 30 nights camping and 80% of that with hookups. You might be supprised how little the furnace uses. As you see by my signature we have an older MH. So specifics on yours I can't give you. Go to a propane dealer (supplier like Ferrallgas) and have then give you some information.

Good Luck
