M/H Overhead Cleaning

I am redoing my M/H. Had it painted outside at Precision Painting.
Had the couch and dinette cushions upholstered, now I want to clean my overhead (ceiling). Has anybody cleaned their ceiling and what did you use.
I was thinking a sponge floor mop with some kind of chemical cleaner. thanks for any info

What type of material is your ceiling made of? This would help in making cleaning suggestions.

sone kind of white fuzzy stuff, I would say the same in all winnebagos of that age 2005

I have had other folks recommend using Oxyclean for that purpose. Mix the powdered stuff in water and use a bristle brush.

While I have never used it on the ceiling material, Woolite foam carpet cleaner works very well on other fabrics. Don't see any reason why it would not work in the ceiling material.

You may want to check with any company that STEAM CLEANS carpets. They should be able to steam the ceiling.

Is the ceiling stained? If not vacuuming may do the job.

What about a rental carpet cleaner with the stair cleaning hose attachment?

I would be careful using a steam cleaner on the ceiling material as it may cause the adhesive to let go of the material. Most of that type material is glued on. JMHO

I've used Oxyclean (The powdered stuff) and it does a great job. Put it in a spray bottle , sprayed it on and blotted it off with a dry towel.

I had some stains from a previous leak. I sprayed it with the peroxide in a small spray bottle and wiped it with a sponge. You cannot tell the stain was ever there.

DW has steam cleaned the fabric ceiling of our last two MHs. She pre spots it with Resolve or SpotShot and uses hot water in the machine.

Works great, last along time

I had a seal leak around the overhead fan next in the kitchen area and stained the ceiling badly. I have the same "fuzzy stuff" and used Oxyclean as described above and it worked great!!
