I have a Magnadyne M9999 RV Radio in my 05 journey. I also have the 10 disc cd changer that we have never used. I would like to hook up an iPod and have all of the functionality from the steering wheel remote. I spoke with Magnadyne this morning & they were not very helpful - they suggested one of their newer models. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Ron

Not sure you can get there from here. I have my iPod mounted in one of those lighter adapters which keeps it charged and the "aux" connector tapped into the sound system but I know of nothing that will give you controls for iPod on your steering wheel control unit.
Keep us posted if you find one because I'll be next in line to buy one!

Snowing I just added an Ipod to my Magnadyne radio using the following adaptor kit. It will plug into your Aux in RCA cable on the back of the radio. I wanted the dash mounted 3.5mm plug jack so I had to drill a small hole in the dash. The Ipod will only be able to be controlled by the Ipod itself and selecting Aux on the radio. Also if you do drill the dash do so gently and carefully.

I guess I was trying to do it the easy way - buy the parts and install without looking at the back of the radio. I have the factory installed GPS (POS) which may use those jacks. I will take the dash apart tomorrow and report back. I can live without the steering wheel controls but I'd really like the iPod to charge. Perhaps a combination of what you two have done.
Thanks for the info.
Ron
