Meridian padded dash removal

Owners:
I am helping a friend replace the padded dash board portion of his 2005 Meridian. After the removal of the hard plastic pieces and numerous screws it is a mystery how to removed the padded portion. The passenger side, a nut was removed from a bolt that came thru the sheet metal frame (possibly welded to the frame of the padded dash) the nut access was easy but how do you access the nuts from center point of the dash to the left?

Any assist would be appreciated.

On my 2009 Journey, the padded part at the front slides back for removal after all the vents are disconnected. Good luck,
Bob

My dash pad was in pretty bad shape so I removed it and had it recovered. Here is a picture of it flipped upside down so you can see the 9 bolts that hold it down and their locations. They are tack welded to the sheet metal. The 4 next to the windshield have to be accessed from the outside through the generator door. The other 5 you have to get from inside after you partially dismantle the dash. The exception is the center one. I could not get a wrench on that one so since I was replacing the pad anyway I pealed the cover back and drilled that one out.
