Does anyone know what the silver metal box is inside the coach drivers side on the floor against the firewall? Sometimes when I turn the key off it makes a sound like a small motor still running for a few moments. There are no warning lights and everything seems ok its just that I do not recall any strange noises from the box before.

I have a similar box and it has HWH on it. So, I suspect it is some sort of control for the leveling/slide-out system. The vacuum pump I referred to in another post is mounted out the outside of the firewall just inside the front access door.

On our 2002 Journey, the HWH control box is silver and held on the floor against the firewall by a wide strap. I think that's the box you are seeing.

The amplifier for the surround system in ours is a black box, mounted underneath the angled drivers footrest.
