Not sure I've ever heard of a 12 volt residential refrigerator. I know some RV refrigerators, typically the absorption models will run on propane, 12 volts and they have a 120V AC heating element. My refrigerator is household and runs strictly on 120 Volts A/C

Lots of 12 volt compressor refrigerators. Could be considered residential.

All sorts of boats have them. Been using them for many years.

They are pretty good as far as energy use but not as good as gas/electric, on gas.

Think you need to clarify whether you are asking about "residential refrigeration" like you would buy at Home depot ( those are 120v but their compressor may be 12v dc) or are you asking about the newer 12v "rv" refrigerators that winnebago and others have been putting in their smaller rvs the last few years?
