If it's an Atwood heater the hose is 5/8" dia.

Just had mine replaced at the dealer. Thank goodness for the warranty we purchased. That little bugger wasn't cheap and the labor to rip out the water heater didn't help. Oh well.

I just winterized my Itasca 26P and drained the waterheater. In the past, I've used the coach for short trips while winterized and have not used any of the plumbing. I assume those trips are not possible with the MotorAid heting the water heater which now has no water??

It won't hurt. The hot coolant circulates through a heat exchange tube welded to the side of the water heater. Having no water in the heater won't matter.
