Mounting a Wilson RV/Trucker Antenna

I am planning on mounting a Wilson RV/Trucker or the Trucker cell phone antenna on my 2003 Itasca Horizon. The antenna improved my last phone, a Nokia 5160, by 2 or 3 bars and made communications possible where it wasn't before. I now have a Motorola V551, which has poorer reception. The mounting location is not obvious. Has anyone mounted one of these antennas on the same or similar MH? I can see possibilities with each.

The Trucker unit can be mounted on the side and the cable routed into a compartment inside. It would look nice and the cable should enter at about the correct level.

The RV/Trucker unit can be mounted through the roof, but the roof will not be level at the point of entry so the antenna might not be vertical. Might look weird. The last one I mounted had a device to make the antenna vertical. I either did not get one this time or I lost it.

Anyone have thoughts on this subject?
