My RV is like riding a bucking bull at a rodeo.

When I hit the smallest bump, (or worse) two in a row, the motor home starts to bounce in the front end. It seems like it bounces 5 feet, but Im sure its only about a foot or so, but it has to run its course before it settles down. Any idea what could cause that? It bounced my dog a foot into the air and onto the floor.

Even little bumps, huh?

Sounds to me like the tire pressure is really high and the shocks are really tired.

Definitely new shocks needed. Check out Konis.

Shocks

Ill check the tire pressure. I thought it might be the shocks but didnt want to spend 600 or more and it turn out to be air pressure or something strange like that. Thanks for the quick response.

You have a Journey, I didn’t know they made those in a gas model?

high TP will cause a small bumps to be noticeable and a harsh ride, but bouncing from big bumps is a shock problem.

It's called porpoising and you need new shocks all around, not just the front.

Flying dogs could only be possible if the dog is a super hero.

Seems curiosity all ways gets the best of me. I'm sure I missed something here but i'm not sure what. Whether it's diesel or gas, don't they both utilize shocks? Are DPs immune from porpoising?

Good point, my question was irrelevant.

Well, not really. The OP originally posted this thread in the Workhorse CLUB forum, which I assume was the reason for your post. THANKS to the hard working moderators for moving the thread to a more appropriate forum (WBGO).

Thanks Ed for taking the time to point that out, it makes sense now because when I went back to read it I didn’t understand or remembered why I posted what I did, now I do remember.
