need advice on "no hot water"

Since it was so nice we took a short trip this weekend (61 degrees here in iowa needs to be celebrated) I had winterized myself last fall by blowing out the lines and then sucking antifreeze throughb them. I have done this for years with no problem in the spring BUT after sanitizing and adding water etc I have cold water out of the cold water tap at the kitchen, bathroom,, stool. I have nothing out of the hot water taps at sink, bath or shower. also I have no cold out of the shower cold water tap. thought that maybe there was some ice etc but after 24 hours of interior at 72 degrees, the outside temp in the 60's as well as adding a couple of small electric heaters in the water bay and another bay. also took a shop vac and reversed flow and blew down below the floor along the water lines. By pass valve on the hot water heater is in the proper position. also I have water in the hot water heater and it is hot. I had hoped that a little heat and time would fix but looks like a valve or something. checked winnebagos plumbing diagram but not much help to me. coach is a 2004 journey 36G Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. tom

Don't know if this is it or not but, there are two check valves on the back of the hot water heater (I am assuming that it is an Atwood heater -- you did not say. If one goes out, it can prevent the passage of water. If you do a search on this forum for water heater check valve, you can find a lot of discussion the valves being very cheap and failing.

Lightbulb Same behavior

Our 2004 Journey had exactly the same behavior ...

The problem turned out to be the check valve located on the back side of the water heater ...

New check valve fixed the problem.

Tom,
Try this if you haven't already. Close all of your faucet's, turn on water pump and let it build up pressure, and listen for it to stop running, if it does, you have good pressure in all of you lines with no leaks. Start @ the futherest faucet ( probably kitchen ) open cold water 1st, then hot water. Then go to bathroom and do the same in the shower 1st, then the sink. If the water pumpdoes not build up pressure and shut off, look for a leaking line somewhere. Good Luck,
