Need AV receiver

So, I have speakers built into the coach that connect to an older Sony AC receiver model # AVD-K700P. The only problem is that the new flat screen tv only has an optical digital audio output from the tv. I need a receiver old enough to accommodate the wired speakers but with an optical audio for the new tv.

You've got lots of options for the receiver. But you can still keep your old Sony and buy an inexpensive DAC (Digital Analog Converter). Do a Google search for "Toslink to RCA Analog Output" and you'll find solutions as cheap as $30 and as expensive as in the thousands.

The optical output is a Toslink connector. The Analog inputs on your receiver are RCA connectors.

Really, put one of these DACs behind the new TV and just plug your old existing cabling to the Sony receiver and you're done.
