Need help, please! HWH leveler ck valve

I am changing my inner and outer check valve on a 310 leveler. I changed the one under the top cap, but how does the one under the solenoid valve go?? The only thing I can figure is there is a hole on the top of the horizontal opening where the solenoid screws in to the manifold, but which way does the ck valve go? My old one was just laying in the port when I took the solenoid out.

Also, there was no springs on these ck valves. Should there be??

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but here the 310 Series Service Manual. I would give HWH a call on Monday if you haven't resolved it by then--they have a good reputation for providing technical support for things like this.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I have scrubbed thru all the HWH manuals and training on their website, but can't find any reference to where it goes. Guess I'll just wait and call Monday. Thanks again.
