Has anyone ever run coax or other wire to the TV area above the passenger or driver?
I want to run a coax cable from the satellite receiver above the driver to a connector that I will locate next to the "cable input" connector back in the electrical basement compartment (for an external satellite dish antenna).
I have removed the molding running down from these compartments on both sides of the windshield and I can see many wires run in there but they seem to disappear in the dash somewhere.
Any suggestions?

There are several holes with rubber grommets that will get you through the firewall to the engine compartment. From there you can go along the frame to the back where you want to end up. If your model has the battery isolation solenoid mounted on the firewall, that is a good place to go out. Take the cover off the box that holds the solenoid and you will have a nice hole to go through the firewall and also a place to come out of the bottom of the box where the battery cables enter.

John,
Good information thanks! But...I don't see where the cables enter the engine compartment from up top?

They don't, but that is the best route for you to add a new one. The original cables go through the ceiling and I don't think it is practical to try to use the same route.

I used the existing cable input coax for the same purpose. Just add a diplexer at each end so both signals can travel along the same coax.
