Wow! I'm so excited I can't stand it. We are on our way to Forest City to pick up our new 2012 Ellipse 42QD. We are only 1 year into RVing and will be trading our 2011 Adventurer. We pick it up on Monday and will take it on a 2-3 day sea trial.

I'll fill in everyone after the trial

Bob

Congratulations, we have the Winnebago version and that floor plan is as good as it gets in our opinion. It's a bit light on closet space, but the rest is very livable.

I have not seen the inside, but the outside is pretty nice. I have seen pictures of the inside.

Good luck.

You have every right to be excited. We saw the Ellipse 42QD at the Louisville show last year and it jumped to our short list immediately. (A snooty salesman booted it off the list entirely.) It's an outstanding floorplan.

May you enjoy many happy adventures in your new Itasca.

Happy trails...

Congratulations! We have an 07 Ellipse and love it but (like Jay) we saw the one at the Louisville Rally last year and I had to remove the DW with a crowbar! When we went back for the third day in a row to go through it and it was closed up with a SOLD sign on it she almost cried.

Enjoy it, be safe and report back with first impressions please!

Great choice, love that floor plan. I hope they sell a bunch of those so I can buy a used one in a couple of years. Please post pics and a report when you can. Have fun and enjoy.

You will love it! We have the 42AD and moving from a 40' TD, find the extra room is amazing. Also impressed with the cabinet quality and the systems -- and love the Aquahot! I was also surprised how well the tag chassis rides and runs!

Have fun!

Yo Bob:

Now lets see.... your into RV's one full year. Your trading in a 2011 Adventurer one year old, and buying a new 2012 Ellipse.

Ahhhh I will buy the Ellipse from you next year, don't trade it in. Take a look at the new 45 ft Newell.

Ok. We picked up the new Ellipse on Monday. We are thrilled. It's everything we wanted and expected. The only negative, if there is a negative, is it seems there is less storage in the galley than we had in our Adventurer. I guess with a residential fridge, a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer you have to give up something.

I went through my extensive check list and had one major issue and 4 or 5 minor issues. The major issue was the generator stalled out with a high temp error after ten minutes. Were going back to the dealer in the morning to have them take care of everything

So we are thrilled with the Coach and thrilled with the dealer. If you are thinking of upgrading or buying new you owe it to yourself to give Lichtsinn motors a call. The price and service were great!

Any, questions, let me know.

Bob

P.S. When do the 2013 Newell's come out (smile)

Hi Bob:

Lots of luck, it sounds beautiful. AS few pics wouldn't hurt either.

We just got back from a 1650 mile round trip to Lake Michigan, total of seven days.

There was a new 2011 42 ft. TAG Ellipse in our campground, never got to go inside though.

Let us know what the Genny problem was. Galley was tight on room huh, how about the closet space in the bedroom on the 2012??? compared to the 2011??

Regards Jim P.

Ok, everything going fairly well with the new Ellipse. The problem with the generator was a faulty temp sensor. Went to Cummins in DesMoines and they fixed it right away. then went on to Kansas City where we discovered that there was a leak in the DEF tank. We are scheduled to go to Freightliner tomorrow where they will fix it. Evidently a bad hose going to the exhaust.

There are a few other minor issues, but all in all we are very happy.

If you want to see pictures, go to Lichtsinn.com and look for new RVs and there they will have still pics and videos. They video they have online is the actual coach we purchased.

After visiting Freightliner tomorrow, we are off to Branson.
