I want to say 1st that I really respect Macnut and the commentary he issues here on behalf of his Adventurer. That having been said however, my Winnebago history is as follows...
2007 - Sightseer (Bunk Model). Leveling jacks didn't work and would constantly hang up when extended leaving me "stuck up" until they (my thought) cooled down from working before returning to close. Think 30-45 minutes.
2008 - Itasca - Meridian 39K. This was a leftover model we bought and worked well except for the air conditioners not functioning properly.
2007 - Winnebago - Journey 39K. Dropped back a year and found the interior and exterior colors I was always looking for. Drove it not even 10K miles and traded it because the turbo was going out.
2013 - Itasca - Suncruiser (Full Wall Slide Model). Slide was evidently broken when we got it and I had it at both Winnebago and Lichtsinn with a promise it was fixed and all was well. It wasn't and although Macnut and I will disagree I won't EVER have a full wall slide again.
2018 - Coachmen - Mirada 35K. Downgrade on overall fancy construction and upgraded systems, but we have had -0- problems. It just starts and runs. I bought this coach under 100K at MHSRV in Texas and based upon the way I was treated and the price we got, I am a customer for life!
I was sad to leave Winnebago, my parents had their coaches and I always felt that the construction was superior having been built in Iowa. You just can't beat the feel of 350 HP of diesel bus running down the road, but (and maybe I make too much of this) if the factory can't get you fixed, if their #1 dealer can't get you fixed and you end up stuck 1000+ miles from home with a broken slideout (3) separate times, I AM DONE.
Thanks for listening....
