New Owner Update questions

Hello, joined forum a while ago when I started looking for a new coach. Ended up getting a Winnebago 2007 sightseer 35j due to requirements by DW and new grandchild. DW has requested the several upgrades. I'm used to RV's rebuilt a couple of orphans but never worked on a Winnebago. Construction seems quite a bit different that the B+ and previous "A" I did.

Want to move the TV from the front cab to the wall between the bath and living space, they have done this on the newer models, but i'm questioning moving the cabling, and the center channel speaker. (has the home theater package) not sure if the space available when the FR slide is retracted is enough for a newer slim LCD.

Also updating the kitchen cabinetry to enlarge the countertop. Cabinets are the Maple finish, does anyone know what aftermarket stain may be close enough to the original (ginger). I can build the cabinets (maple plywoods and solids) and the solid surface countertop, but playing with finish mix's is not my strong suite. I've built 2 rv kitchens and > 10 stick Kitchens. I rarely use stains in my cabinets, but the DW wants a match.

Thanks

I can only answer part of your question ... stain

I built some additional storage for magazines in our coach ... I took a scrap of the wood I used and a drawer to my local paint/stain/varnish shop in our town ... the next day they had a custom mixed quart of stain that matched perfectly.

In my town, that is the Sherwin-Williams store ... just ask a guy wearing white pants with paint on them where you should go ..

I think they have some sort of scanner that tells them exactly what to put in the concoction

Thanks Skigramp..... Been so long since I've had to match, I forgot about that. Been building new stuff for the last 25 years, don't muck with matching much.
