Was looking at a used Journey 04, couch, sofa was shot. I aksed to replace it, you are correct over $3k

And they wouldn't reduce the price of the coach to boot.

I bagged the deal and bought a coach from private owner.

We remodeled our living room in our coach and you DON'T have to pay all that money for a replacement couch. We got a beaytiful leather couch/bed for less that $400.00 at a local furnature store, after we ensured it would fit through the door. That is all you have to be concerned with, if ya like it, it fits, ya buy it.
Some of these RV places see ya comin and because it is for an "RV", they think the can rip ya off. Most couches will come apart and will fit through the door very easily.

Just my thought, just shop around, ya don't have to pay "RV" prices.

Example, I replaced the couch, end tables, TV cabinet (put in an 37" LCD), and Euro recliner, all for less than $700.00. And NO, they are not junk!

Just MY 2 cents!!

I have a 33' voyage and it will only take a 68" sofa. I don,t think I'll find a love seat that will make a bed.

Daysu47 -- Did you bolt the replacements to the floor of your RV ? - I'm considering doing the same with my RV but was wondering if it would be a problem attaching to the RV ?

Fred, yes, I attached the couch to the floor. I used, on one end, 2" "L" tabs, with 2 1'2" screws lapped over the frame on one end and regular 2 1/2" screws on the other, screwed thru the frame and into floor. This was because of the couch we bought and the frame setup. Your's may be different.

Good luck,

Actually, yes you can find love seat sofa beds. We found one at a local furniture store but it was a smaller bed. Lazy Boy (and other manufacturers) make a number of smaller sofas and sofa-sleepers that will fit in the space. When we got rid of our OEM Rest Easy sofa bed, we also only had 68" of space. We found a nice small two cushion sofa sleeper that would have fit. However, it is just the two of us so we opted for a nice reclining love seat. The original seat belts work with it. Also, all the recliners have removeable backs, making it easy to get them through the entry door.

Great point there!

I remember now that when we had a stick-house and bought La-Z-Boy furniture all the backs were removable. That made them much easier to handle.
